I recently graduated from the PHD program at MIT’s Operations Research Center (ORC) where I was advised by Professor Dimitris Bertsimas. My research focused on data-driven decision-making. I combine data analytics with quantitative tools from optimization, statistics, and machine learning to improve decision-making and drive business and social value. My thesis research focused in two areas:
- Personalized diabetes management using electronic medical records;
- Improved design and analysis of clinical trials via mixed-integer optimization.
I also had the opportunity to collaborate with Publicis.Sapient, a global consulting firm, on a revenue forecasting and personnel management optimization project.
Prior to working with Professor Bertsimas , I worked with Professor David Simchi-Levi on online learning-and-optimization problems in revenue management.
Before starting my PhD, I conducted healthcare outcomes research under Dr. Elena Losina in the Osteoarthritis Policy group at the Orthopaedic and Arthritis Center for Outcomes Research (OrACORe) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
